How-to guide

Aakash, this is your day-to-day workflow: drop a class of photos, let IDCraft align & enhance them all, review, and download. Fixing a single tricky photo by hand is covered too.

1 · Process a whole class (the main job) ⚑

  1. Open BatchOpen the Studio and click ⚑ Open Batch in the left panel (or drop photos straight onto the β€œBatch process a folder” box).
  2. Add the photosDrag the whole class folder's images into the window, or click to multi-select.
  3. Set optionsOutput format (Same as original / PNG / JPG), JPG quality, Auto colour-correct each, AI face align (uniform), and Use current shape & fill mode. The defaults are already set for ID headshots.
  4. Process & previewEvery photo is face-aligned, enhanced, and shown in a preview grid β€” just like your delivery folder. Review it, and if you tweak an option, hit ↻ Re-process.
  5. Download ZIPLooks good? Click ⬇ Download ZIP. Unzip it into your PHOTO folder β€” done.

🏷️ File names are kept exactly. With Same as original, 5.jpeg comes back as 5.jpeg β€” so a class of 1, 3, 4, 5… returns with the same roll-number names, ready to deliver.

2 Β· What "AI face align" does

This is what makes a whole class look consistent, the way you'd do it manually β€” but automatically:

If a face can't be found confidently (rare β€” e.g. a very dark or unusual shot), that photo falls back to a safe centred crop instead of a bad guess, and you can fix it in Single edit.

3 Β· Fix a single photo by hand

For the odd photo that needs a manual touch, click πŸ–Ό Single edit in the top bar (or open the collapsible on the left).

  1. Drop the photoIt auto-aligns the face just like batch does.
  2. AdjustUse Zoom, Straighten, drag to reposition, then Center face to re-align. Mouse-wheel also zooms.
  3. Fine-tune colourClick ✨ Auto colour correct, or nudge Brightness / Contrast / Saturation / Sharpness / Temperature. Upscale adds resolution; Reset reverts.
  4. ExportExport β†’ PNG or JPG at exactly 1254 Γ— 1254.

4 Β· Full ID cards (optional)

Beyond headshots, you can build a complete card:
